Richard Hall,
Photographer in Residence
Richard holds a Master’s Degree in Photography from Leeds Arts University and is a Fellow of the Royal Photographic Society in Contemporary Photography. He also serves as an advisor and assessor for the Society, specialising in Photobooks and Contemporary Photography.
Professionally, Richard works as a theatre and dance photographer, collaborating with a range of companies, and is the official photographer for Transplant Sport UK. His personal practice centres on identity and collaboration, using photography to tell stories of individuals and communities.
His involvement with Anon stems from an interest in narratives of hidden or denied identity. The project presents a unique opportunity to explore both the experience of the performers and the concept of anonymity — not only as a musical theme, but also as a photographic challenge. This duality allows Richard to experiment with new visual strategies and creative risks in support of the ensemble’s vision.
